 Consider carrying a tote bag or backpack with you for purchases

According to the Worldwatch Institute, Americans use more than 100 billion plastic bags each year, and 99 percent go straight to landfills. Eventually they break down into tiny toxic bits polluting our soil, river, lakes and oceans. Production requires vast amounts of oil.
Countless animals needlessly die each year.

Think twice about taking a plastic bag if your purchase is small and easy to carry.

Keep canvas bags in your home, office, and car so you always have them available. Or just don't use bags at all, keep cardboard boxes in your car so you can transfer your items from the supermarket or other stores.

Ask stores to stop providing bags for free, to make re-usable bags available, or to offer a discount for not using the bags.

THE RECYCLING STATION

will give you the inside scoop on exactly what the heck those numbers mean on your plastics and What, Why, How or if it's possible to recycle almost anything, paper, plastic, metal and more...the right way. Learn how the cycle happens; a breakdown from the recycle bin back into your hand.

There will be proper recycling receptacles available at our RECYCLING STATION on site. We try to keep a goal of ZERO waste, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, but we do our best to keep our carbon footprint as subtle as possible.
